Sends every email your WordPress site produces through Wakio.

== Description ==

This plugin routes every `wp_mail` call on your site through Wakio. Contact forms, order
confirmations, password resets, and anything else a plugin or theme sends keeps working
exactly as it did, and goes out over your own verified sending domain instead of your
host's mail server.

You need a Wakio account with a verified sending domain before this plugin can do anything.
Sign up at https://wakio.net, add your domain, and paste an API key into Settings → Wakio Email.

When Wakio cannot send a message, the plugin says so. It returns a failure to WordPress,
fires the standard `wp_mail_failed` action that logging plugins listen for, writes the reason
to your error log, and shows you a notice naming what went wrong and where to fix it. It never
quietly falls back to your host's mail server, because mail that appears to work while
bypassing your deliverability is worse than mail that visibly did not send.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. Go to Settings → Wakio Email.
3. Paste your API key from https://wakio.net/api-keys.
4. Enter the From address you want mail to come from. It has to be on a domain you have
   verified with Wakio.
5. Save. The plugin checks the domain right then and tells you if it is not ready.
6. Send the test email.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need a Wakio account? =

Yes. The plugin sends through Wakio's API, so it needs an account and a verified sending
domain. There is no way around domain verification: it is what stops one customer's mail
from damaging everyone else's deliverability.

= What happens to Cc and Bcc? =

Each recipient gets their own copy and their own delivery record, so a bounce is recorded
against the address that actually bounced. A Cc recipient will not see the other recipients
on the message, and reply-all will not reach them. Each recipient counts separately toward
your sending volume.

= Does it work with WooCommerce and Contact Form 7? =

Yes. The plugin hooks WordPress's own mail function, so anything that sends mail through
WordPress keeps working without changes.

= What if Wakio is down? =

The send fails within ten seconds and WordPress is told it failed. A slow email provider
should never hold up a checkout.

== External services ==

This plugin sends your site's email through Wakio, a third-party service at
https://wakio.net. That is what the plugin is for, and nothing leaves your site until you
enter an API key on the settings page.

On every `wp_mail` call, the plugin posts the message to https://api.wakio.net. That
includes the recipient addresses, including any Cc and Bcc, the From address and name, the
subject, the message body, and the full contents of every attachment.

When you save the settings page, the plugin asks https://api.wakio.net which sending
domains your account has verified, so it can tell you right then whether your From address
will work. Your API key goes with both requests. Nothing else is sent, and the plugin
contacts no other service.
